So there is this meme going around about rec'ing one storyline per Doctor as a Newbie Guide to Who, and since I have OPINIONS I will take a stab.

( Spoiler cut for an almost 50-year old show? You betcha. )

I am still kind of terrible with image editing, but I'm less fail than I was a year ago, so I will try this out.

1) Create a graphic (200 x 200 max size) to represent your personal "candy". It should have your username on it, but otherwise can feature whatever you want. Make it something special since it's self-representative.

2) Make a post with the subject "trick or treat?". Put your "candy" somewhere in it, and be sure to repost these instructions.

3) Then, go around other people's LJs and reply to them with either "trick" or "treat". If you reply with "trick", they will give you an LJ/Plurk/AIM/etc. dare that you have to perform before taking their candy. If you're too wimpy for that, simply say "treat" and take their candy.

4) List all your collected candies in your original "trick or treat?" post to show off your collection!

I rarely do these writing memes, because I am slower than heck and often fail at writing anything resembling an array of characters, but! I will give this one a shot. You just might get stuff that's very tangential or completely random, but I will write something.

I am getting very, very tired of headaches on days off. And it's not due to too much sleep -- this one woke me up at 4 am, and then I had to get up fairly early anyways because we had a locksmith coming. But it seems to succumb to the twin powers combined of ibuprofen and caffeine, so I should be ok.

You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Blake's 7 is still good but none of the characters are grabbing me and making me really care. Not terribly surprising -- it's rare that most of those archetypes will grab me. Except for Blake, who is the sort of idealist I usually like, but I can't seem to warm to him either.
